Saturday, September 10th from 4-7pm: Absolutely Fabulous Unique Gifts & Decor - a Huntington Beach shop that lives up to its bold moniker - continues to rise above the fray with one national award (so far) this year alone (we are nominated for two others, so fingers crossed!). Come and celebrate with us on Saturday, September 10th, between 4pm & 7pm by having a "window reveal party" for our new Halloween window displays (see some prior ones here).

More than one fender-bender has been notched in the parking lot when we change our famous window displays; none more than during Halloween and Christmas, though, when I pull out all of the stops. I buy the most amazing product for our windows and just have a blast sitting outside and planning them in my head. Then the girls work very hard to make these visions come to life and add great ideas of their own, too."

If you drive by Absolutely Fabulous over the next few weeks, you will see this work starting to come to fruition. Though many of the large and impressive items end up getting sold once the window's life is over, I have a bit of a hard time letting some of them go. Many of these life-sized decorations I buy are very limited editions so I get emotionally invested in them. Not to mention, many of them actually go up in value!

Absolutely Fabulous is currently nominated for the 28th annual Arts Awards, at the Dallas Market; a prestigious awardselected by leaders in the retail industry. They were also nominated for excellence in visual merchandising at the Retail Excellence Awards in New York - an award they won in 2013 and have been a finalist for 3 times. And earlier this year, "Ab Fab" was recognized, for the 2nd time in her history, as one of 50 "Retail Stars" in the country by Home Accents Today, another industry-leading publication.
